however it is not the President's job to solve..individual crimes...
-AmyI suppose one of the cool things about being President is that you can pick and choose what you want to do. He went and had a beer with a police officer officer and a professor one-on-one and he can have his social Secretary call Lady Gaga to come to his house and sing for his kids. He's not the Ambassador to Haiti, either, but he is supposed to show compassion for those in need. But you take care of your own first.
I used a metaphor to make a point. The point was not that the President should LITERALLY be snooping around houses in Texas at dawn. That might actually be a really bad idea. The point was, and I am happy to make it again, is that we had better start taking care of each other again instead of trying to be the world's mother....or police officer. The world doesn't want us to do that and we really don't have the resources. What we do have ought to be used in our country until it's healthy again instead of helping everyone else while we get sicker.Haiti has never worked as a democratic republic. It's too bad. America is rapidly failing as a democratic republic. If it does, it will be just like Haiti. No one seems to be able to imagine that concept and no one ever will if they keep being distracted but the fact is this:THE STIMULUS DIDN'T WORK! THE ECONOMY IS GETTING WORSE, NOT BETTER. WE ARE LOSING JOBS, NOT GAINING THEM. THE ENTIRE COUNTRY IS BANKRUPT. IT IS NOT BUSINESS AS USUAL! THE EMERGENCY IS HERE. IT IS UPON US NOW.One more year of bickering between the political parties instead of saving the country and there will be nothing left to save. An entire generation of college graduates are now competing with previously retired seniors for jobs which don't exist. The graduates want to get rich. The senior citizens want to eat.We actually COULD save the country. It is possible. We already fought the war in Iraq. The plan was that they would love us and hug us and give us free oil. Instead, they hate us but we could take the oil anyway. If we don't, an hour after our troops are gone Iran will have it. Why do you think we are still there? We won the war in 2001 but we are still there. We are still there because we are waiting for America to get desperate enough to say "OH HELL, JUST TAKE THE DAMN OIL"!Robert Redford made the movie in 1975. Three days of the Condor. Maybe no one watched it.

Say what you think. But think first.
