Comment - today's rant.

'I see a lot of people yelling for peace, but I have not heard of a plan for peace.'
-Zeke

You have to ask the right person, Zeke.  I believe in peace and prosperity for all Americans and I hate the idea of fighting unwinnable wars.  So let's take care of that.

First: Legalize everything except GMO food which can get loose in the wild and adulterated food.  If drugs are legalized, 90% of all crime and violence will stop immediately.  The drug companies can make money, the national debt can be paid off in a year, people who want to OD can do it for ten bucks (sorry - no medical coverage or free ER care for drug abuse), and the people who want jobs can agree to random drug testing.  Everyone is happy but the crime cartels.

Second:  Our troops belong at home and most of them can be reserves.  But everyone has to serve the country in some capacity and get basic training in nutrition, physical fitness, hygiene, personal responsibility and, ideally firearms safety.  After that if you want to be a medic or a Seabee or a member of the Peace Corps, fine.  If you choose to serve in the armed forces, you may take your personal weapon home with you when you leave the service under honorable conditions and you can carry a concealed firearm if you choose.

By serving in the service of the country in any capacity, you get a college education and free medical & dental care for an additional period of as long as you served.  If you ~choose~ to maintain yourself in a reserve unit, and that could be as a reserve firefighter or emergency worker or counselor or any number of things, those benefits carry with you and you can retire with them and a pension at age 55 or after 25 years of service.

Our military will not be sent to attack or occupy foreign lands, ever, except maybe Canada.  :-O  They will maintain a high level of combat training, but will serve at home during natural disasters or other emergencies - BUT NOT IN POLICE FUNCTIONS!  No American soldier will ever again be ordered to shoot an unarmed American citizen.

There is more.  Oh, hell yes.
