which encourage one non-sensical viewpoint over another non-sensical viewpoint (in the example you sent about Zucotti park, 'conservatives' vs 'liberals' is disingenuous. It's merely propaganda. It is an attempt to keep people from thinking for themselves through fear.
I can give you examples of both sides of that argument. But, more importantly, I can find out who Marybeth Hicks is, and I have. She is a ringer. What her resume' doesn't say is more informative than her article. Walter quoted her last week and here you go - but, while she is published in prestigious circled, it is because of her connections. She is a columnist for Jewish World Review.
She is picked up in these publications because she writes for them, or the people who own them. Goldman Sachs, the Koch Brothers, Andrew Tisch, Rupert Murdoch, Sanford Weill, Blankfien, Rubin, Friedman, Greenspan, Rahm Immanuel, MANY others. So either you and Walter don't understand whose agenda you are supporting by following MaryBeth...or you do, and the Republican party has been completely co-opted.
Let's see...what about Congress?THE SENATE

Now I'm not the least bit anti-Jewish and I am not a conspiracy theorist. But all these people, from BOTH parties, seem to have interrelated financial connections - and neither political party seems to be able to do anything, even if they have majorities, if ~someone~ doesn't want it done.
But whoever it is doesn't want the status-quo to change, and they are doing everything possible to front useless, weak, ineffective, and dishonest politicians who will do what they are paid to do.
They are not interested in the citizens of this country making their voices heard and they try to suppress 'the 99%' with propaganda and police intimidation - when they doesn't work, they become violent and start having protesters shot down in the streets.
That's not going to work. Decide whose side you are on. If you are a 1 percenter, great. You have that right. But I, and the rest of the combat veterans are not. We are regular people who have fought for the country and we will do so again, whether the threat is external or internal.
Everyone whines about 'redistribution of wealth'. At least rich people do. But the only 'redistribution' I see is my money being redistributed to the richest 1% of the population and all their debt being redistributed to the other 99%. That's a good deal if you are a millionaire and don't pay any tax - but it's not so good for me because I have to pay your share. And then I don't have enough to live on in retirement.
So the 1% is trying to convert this from a crime by the 1%, which is what it is, to generational warfare by trying to blame retirees for actually wanting the money they paid into the system all these years and blaming us. We provided all the money and the congress and banks stole it. But WE lose our homes while Hamid Karzai is a BILLIONAIRE? No.
It's not just on the mainland anymore. A federal agent assigned to diplomatic security just murdered a man in Honolulu. He's out on bail. But for some reason, a local named Roger Christie can't get bail after what....18 months - and he didn't hurt anyone. The wrong person is in jail. How can that happen? Because we are peons. We are the 99% who fought for the rights we no longer have.
I'm tired of that, too. I don't want your money. I just don't want you to keep yours and spend mine - and then poor-mouth that you don't have enough.
