The Lakotas.

No one wasted any time replacing the DEA with our new military Lakotas.  They are on eradication missions already.  Don't be fooled.  The DEA aircraft searched with tips and eyeballs.  I know.  I have been in those aircraft.  The Lakotas are fully equipped military aircraft sans external weapons.  They are specifically equipped for search and rescue, but those are exactly the capabilities which make them perfect for finding marijuana.  They can fly at night, in IFR conditions, and have interesting ancillary components like FLIR and digital data exchange.  They can record what they see and transmit the video in real time.  Probably half the people who got to look at them when we got them didn't understand what they were looking at.  The electronics are pretty neat.  A lot neater than you want hunting for you.
