Obama's reason for backing off nukes.

 Iran isn't stupid.  They understand quite well that we will eventually have to get out of Iraq and Afghanistan and they are not only the neighbors of both countries through common borders, but share a political and religious ideology as well. So Iran will control Iraq and Afghanistan and probably Pakistan as well; they know it and we know it...which is why we are still there. But we are losing the war as well as the high moral ground which we claimed but never really had at all.

Our government says that Iran has no nukes, but it is not true.  They actually have a few more than Pakistan, which has about 60.  But Islam won't use them until either we or Israel attack them first. A preemptive attack won't actually preempt anything but it will draw the Muslim world together as nothing else could.  So now we understand what signal President Obama is REALLY sending.  He told the Iranians that, since they are already a nuclear power, we are not going to take them out.  He may have told them we won't retaliate if they get into it with Israel.  He sure as heck didn't toss that statement out for Russia's benefit although that's what the White House State Department are attempting to imply.
